About Nożyk Synagogue
The Nożyk Synagogue, by Grzybowski Square, is the only synagogue in Warsaw that survived the Holocaust. It was founded by Zalman ben Menashe Nożyk, a textile merchant, and his wife Ryfka, and built in the Neo-Romanesque style (Warsaw Tourism Office). It is a working synagogue: dress modestly and check visiting times before you go.
