About Old Town Market Place
The Old Town Market Place (Rynek Starego Miasta) is the heart of the Old Town, which was rebuilt after the Second World War and inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The Museum of Warsaw fills a row of townhouses at numbers 28/42, and the Mermaid, the city’s patroness, stands in the middle of the square. In December an ice rink opens beside her.
